About the event

Theatrical Artist's Prep (TAP) presents "ONE SONG," a Virtual Benefit Concert on Friday, May 8 at 7p. The live-streamed event hopes to raise funds for the Fanwood-Scotch Plains Rotary's fundraiser, providing relief to those in Union County currently affected by COVID-19. The concert will feature Pineda Studio performers, Gavin Lesnevich, Justyanna Fortna, and Cristian Vozza. Other participating organizations include TAP, Applause Theatre, Play Theatre, S.T.A.R.S. Theatre, and more. Special appearances include Mayor Al Smith, Scotch Plains-Fanwood Superintendent of Schools Dr. Joan Mast, and the directors of the participating organizations. The concert will be streamed on Theatrical Artist's Prep's Facebook page and YouTube channel for easy viewing.

Fanwood-Scotch Plains Rotary Resident, Wayne Zuhl, explains, "The club is raising money to benefit health care providers and first responders who live in Scotch Plains and Fanwood." Monies raised by the Rotary's GoFundMe page continue to be used to purchase masks for the staff at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, and to provide meals and supplies to at-risk individuals. Additionally, funds are used to purchase gift cards to area restaurants, which are given to first responders and also help support local small businesses. Any amount will help!
